Love In A Big World equips educators with the curriculum and resources necessary to empower students to be socially competent, emotionally healthy problem-solvers who discover and maintain a sense of purpose, and make a positive difference in the world.
We define the structure, scope, and sequence of 24 essential character traits to provide meaningful activities that help you support your students’ development into well-rounded, successful friends, family members, community members, and citizens. In order to facilitate timely interactions with students and help develop positive behavior traits that will empower them in everyday life, we developed an age-appropriate curriculum that is designed for students between grades K-8 that can be easily integrated into any learning environment.
The Love In A Big World 24-Session Kits are a comprehensive curriculum resource providing explicit SEL instruction and supporting materials to enhance student and teacher engagement. All content is age and grade level appropriate, and the kits are currently customized for grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8. Each kit includes:
• Implementation Guide: This tool provides the foundation of SEL and establishes the programming objectives.
• 24-Session Teacher Guide: This resource provides guided conversations and a menu of activities around each of the identified character traits.
• 24-Session Student Journal: This full-color resource helps students process their thoughts by providing guidance and a safe space to re ect and monitor their emotions through words and pictures. Kit includes 24 journals.
• Storybook Bundle: In addition, we offer storybook bundles with relevant and popular storybooks to help contextualize each character trait. Kits are available for purchase with or without the Storybook Bundle.
